María Maldonado

María is a Mexican attorney, specialized in environmental law and climate change. After receiving the Fulbright-García Robles scholarship, in 2025 she finished her LL.M (Master of Laws) in Environmental Law at the University of Berkeley, California.

She is the Head of Climate Litigation at Nuestro Futuro, A.C., a nonprofit organization dedicated to climate litigation and public advocacy on climate justice issues. She graduated with honors with a law degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
